Some basic qs about GW
I started playing mmorpgs with Diablo 2. The game was great at first but then I started playing too much. Any chance I got I would play it for hours on end usually about 10-15 hours a day. Eventually this almost cost me a 3-year relationship, a semester of school, and almost my job. I managed to pull away from the game barely in time. Since then I have been very put off by mmorpgs and have stayed as far away as possible. Then I heard about GW and also heard that it is non invasive (in other words non addictive/habit forming) so here are my questions.
1. Is it possible to play this game for only 1-3 hours a day and still have a successful account? I work and go to school and don???t have much more free time then that. 2. Is activity a big concern? I know that GW is guild based on and encourages playing with groups of people (hence the name) so I don???t want to buy the game and find out that no one wants a team mate that only logs on a couple hours a day at infrequent times and only every other day or so. 3. What profession would you suggest for someone who is just looking to have fun a couple of hours every day or so? I'm not looking to be elite or play on a ladder I just want to be able to log on and relax and not have to worry about work/school and basically relieve some stress and have fun. I also don???t want to get my rear-end handed to me by every leet speaking prepubescent munchkin that comes along. Thanks in advance for any replies and comments |

1. Yes, this game is skill based and it will just take you a little longer to get to the really good parts of the game.
2. You can group with NPC Henchmen. Although usually its pretty easy to find a group, or join a guild, and use them. I always help guildies out. 3. All of the characters are great. It truely depends on what you like to do. Monks are always a very good choice as well, since they are in really short supply right now. They can also solo (adventure alone) very well. Anymore questions.. This is a great place to ask them... and if you want ask me in game. IGN - Fye Duron |
